Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945 and the man who started World War II.
So you know, he was responsible for the death of over 6million Jews whom he believed were subhumans. He was also responsible for the death of over 19million civilians with a total of 28.7 million soldiers and civilians who died as a result of the second World War which he caused.
He was born on 20 April 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria-Hungary (present Austria) to his parents; Alois Hitler and Klara Pölzl.
He had served in the army in his early days before joining the Nazi party in 1919 and subsequently becoming its leader in 1921.
He was arrested and jailed from 1923 to 1924 for alleged coupe plot.
He became the chancellor of Germany in 1933 and made his way to become the furher of Nazi Germany after the president passed away in 1934.
Although Germany had thrived economically under his regime but his quest for more power led to the war. In 1939, he invaded Poland which led to Britain and France (the then world power) declaring war on Germany. He ordered the invasion of Soviet in 1941 and gained control of most of Europe and North Africa by the end of the year.
The war ended in 1945 when the allied army gradually regained the conquered territories and finally defeated the Nazi Germany army.
He died on 30 April 1945 at the age of 56 in Berlin, Nazi Germany. He was reported to have committed suicide, along with his wife, in order to avoid being arrested by the Soviet Red Army.
